Just some misc. ?'s

Ok i got a 2002 ford f-150 5.4 automatic and its right now got 86,000 miles on it. When i hit a 100,000 what should i consider replacing ? there has never been anything replaced on it before i mean the spark plugs are still stock i did however put a k&n stock replacement air filter on it but thats it and i know im suppose to run the motorcraft synthetic oil and i have been but how often is the oil change interval on the synthetic some have told me 3000 some have told me 5000 and one crazy idiot told me 10000

thanks for the input guys

Spark plugs should be done a soon as possible. If none of the fluids, other than the oil of course, have not been changed then they all need to be done now as well. Ford's oil is not a true synthetic and should be changed between 3-5K miles depending on driving conditions. When the plugs get changed the COP boots should also be done.

I believe ford recommends 7k on oil changes. Thats what i use for mine. COP's are up to you some here seem to have trouble with them, my father 2001 screw with 200k have the originals on it still with no issues. I would change the plugs for sure, and also check all the ball joints and tie rod ends in the front end. Also check your u joints.

As said before, fluids a must as soon as possible. Xrans fluid filter and a good fluid flush. check your brakes as well. Grease all joints. They tend to get overlooked more often now-a-days and i bet they could use some fresh grease.
