Anyone into drag racing?

It has been many years since I raced, however, I am dying to build another drag car.
I have an '80 Zephyr Z-7 (originally a turbo 2.3) I blew up many years ago and bought a 12pt cage for it last fall. I am hoping if all goes well this summer to get it back halfed and the cage in it this summer.
I have the better part of the parts to build a 514 for it just waiting for some spare time to put it together.
I will probably go up to 131 dragway in Mich. when it is done.

I am not really sure, it will depend on if I put the 8-71 on it or not.
My wife is interested in maybe driving it and has never raced- I certainly am not going to put her behind the wheel with the 8-71 on it!!
I figure either way a 12pt is a given, it will either be required, or, I will need it to keep from being stuck raising 2 kids on my own!!

Well, I wish I could race my truck. It's just too damn heavy.
If I had a lighter, faster truck or a good car, I sure as hell would.
My grandpa used to race circuit in the Midwest Cup with an old Chevy (it was a GM, not sure of brand). He won 2 years in a row. Hell, my F250 is bone stock and faster than some cars. Same with my 96 Sable!!!
I just wish I could get my hands on an old Mustang, even a Fox body would make me happy. I just want it to have a V-8 under the big ol' hood.
