big problems???

i have an 1983 Ford Bronco. 302 sb. holley 2 barrel carb. i will run perfect when it starts up in the morning but as soon as the engine warms up it will run crappy. misfiring horibly. i cant seem to figure it out. put new plug wires istributor cap an rotor. the radiator has a hole in it and i ran it low on coolant for a few days but it never overheated. just checked plugs there fine. anyone have any ideas? i need help b/c this is a daiy driver and it sucks trying to go places when there is snow covered streets and i have no power to go up hills. oh and i havea really bad carb backfire. the carb is basically new.

Well let me see.

I might need a little more info.

But here's a few suggestions. You may have a bad coil or a bad wire connection.

Also is there oil in the coolant or is there coolant in the oil from say a cracked head or a blown head gasket.

What colour is the exhaust and does it smell sweet?

I would suggest a check of all your grounds and ignition wiring connections.

If none of this works you may have to do a leak down test on the engine to find the problem.

GL, Rick.

Have you thought about rebuilding the Holly Carb. I had problems with mine running and it was the Carb. needing a rebuild. I feel it was a because of Ethanol being added to my gas.
