exhaust manifold
Had the head gaskets done on my 6 liter by the local Ford dealer last fall and have noticed lately the exhaust noise is louder. I crawled under the truck tonight with a light and it looks like most every cylinder is leaking out the exhaust manifold. There is no gasket and I realize on most factory builds they don't use a gasket, but would have figured they would have used a gasket once they are removed. Any idea if they should have put exhaust manifold gaskets on this?

Ford put new metal gaskets on my engine manifolds when they rebuilt it, i was in the shop one day and the tech showed me all the new parts he had put on it.

there are exhaust manifold gaskets available from Ford...they weren't installed from the factory..if you're under warranty, they should install them to fix the leaks..out of warranty and they don't cost that much...the install is pretty easy if you take out the front fenderwell liners..
