Looking at used F250 4x4 Diesel's I am curious about warrantys. Can you get a Ford ESP warranty on these trucks after they are out of factory warranty?
How long is the powerstroke warranty good for? When does it expire?
Definitely shop around. I did some serious online research and I found this site to be the cheapest Ford Extended Warranty - Geniune Ford ESP Sales. At least, that was back when I did all the searching...
I was always offered by the selling dealer the option of a warranty regardless of the mileage. As long as it was being purchased with the vehicle, at the same time.
If you choose not to get the Ford ESP but another company, make sure the Dealer you are doing bussiness at accepts it, and its not a pay up front and get reimburssed type of deal.
If your truck is past 3 year 36K miles you cannot get a full extended warranty. You will only to be able to get the powertrain warranty...
Not true. I bought my '05 in Dec. '07. It was originally sold in June '04 and I bought it with 50046 miles. I bought a 4yr./48k ESP Premium Warranty. It was a little costly through my dealer [$3400] but I didn't know that you could shop around then. It covers the plow package also.

If you need help finding a truck in N illinois, let me know
def willing to help!!!
Looking at under $20K trucks hoping to get it for $15-18K
02 and up F250/350 Crew Cab, 4x4, Diesel
I have found a few, most dealers appear to not want to deal. Those that do have over 120K on the odometer. I drive 20K a year so am looking for something with just under 100K that I can drive for about 4-5 years.
When i just bough my truck on 1/1/09 i got a 2 year 24,000 mile extended warranty and my truck is an 02 with 43,625 when i bought it, it did cost a little but better to have it i guess

Holy cow I got the esp prem on my mountaineer one day before the 36 was over and I got it for 4/48k and paid close to $1200.00 with $250 or $500 ded I can't remember..Its only for major problems eng tranny ...
So that is 4 years, 48K from the date of YOUR purchase in Dec 07' with 50K.
YES. That's correct. The ESP Premium Warranty [or the one I have anyway] is the "bumper-to-bumper" plan. I'm a single parent and travel with my two kids. I want to be able to drive into any Ford dealer and say "fix it". I realize that's a lot of money and it's not perfect but it's what I want.
