Acceleration issues at low RPM's

Just bought a used 98 E350 w/5.4V8. While in Park running, accelerating from idle to about 2000 rpm, the engine hesitates a bit then catches up. Any ideas? Sticky EGR? Idle air sensor? I haven't pulled any codes yet.

might have a vacuum leak.If any sensor is bad the vehicle should trow a code.You might want to check the idle air control valve (I.A.C) for carbon buildup.
