1997 f-150 4wd rear drum brakes locking up

i put new ones on and they are locking but the catch is locking in forward but when going in reverse they are fine and actually unlock

i have the long shoe one with most padding in the rear and the short shoe in the front i thought it might be the m/c not letting the fluid back but i cracked the line no pressure thanks in advance
