Ok so I just realized my heater core is shot ie coolant dripping onto the carpet, and leaking from the ousdie of the firewall. I dont have the cash to replace it right now so im wondering if I can just disconnect the coolant lines and plug em until I can get around to changing the core.
You can also remove one of the hoses entirely and just loop the remaining hose back into the engine. Also, if it's been leaking coolant, make sure you open up your radiator cao (when cold, of course) and check your levels.
yeah I totally forgot about looping the hoses... done it a million times and this time I choose to shove bolts in em and hose clamps. thats screamin redneck lol I had to re-add some coolant, luckily I caught it before it totally failed. ONly wierd thing is when I punch the throttle I can see steam coming up from the passenger side lower end of the motor, ( assuming its that line at the bottom of the plastic box that houses the ac evap and heater core) where it was leaking out and got on the frame and is hitting the exhaust, it stopped for now
