Firewall ID Tag.
On the firewall on the drivers side there is an "ID Tag".
As I've read, its something to do with options, color, trim package, etc.
I haven't been able to find a page that explains the codes.
Mine reads:
-435BS 1660
TF15 1C D
FLIP FWD WL HOOKS HR
BAR SC AM AC
3
I have a 1978 F150 Supercab, 4x4 long bed.
Black, red interior, V8 400, "wood" trim inside, cruise control.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike...
This is a BUCK TAG.
The codes were used by assembly line workers to insure the correct parts were installed.
There is no source that I'm aware of that decodes Buck Tags.
However...
TF15? / I/C & D: D = Red Interior; I/C = Instrument Panel Color.
BAR? / SC = Super Cab / AM may refer to an AM radio, AC could refer to Air Conditioning.
Does your Super Cab's rear seat backrest flip forward?
Hooks may refer to the T shaped chrome tie downs used on the bed sides and tailgate.
