I like having a stock program. I always start my truck when the engine is cold in the stock program and then drive in stock until the motor is warmed up.

I went with this thinking when I ordered my wife's chip, but we don't really have the cold down here. She really likes the daily tune. If you want to keep a stock option, I'd call Tony and talk to him and decide if you really need both tow tunes or if you can get by with just one.
The stock tune is beneficial not only when starting when it's cold out, but if you have to go for emissions testing (smoke opacity) as I have to here in Mass. It is nice not having to pull the chip from the PCM just to get an inspection sticker.
For clarification...my 01 is only driven April-Oct now so the weather isn't too cold and I start and drive in stock year round if it's the first time I start it that day. Even when it's 90* out.

Luckily we don't have that mess down here. Tony did say the truck won't smoke in the economy tune. Maybe I can find out if that's true when my wife quits playing with the other tunes.

I read Patty's comments in the other thread, from what I take she is burning through some fuel!!
Have you talked with Tony on the tow tunes? Since you've got the good transmission, I don't know if there's a big difference between the two. If you try to call him, he's easier to get a hold of after 3:30.
yeah, i called but busy. i'll try again after 3:30. i just placed the order hopefully if there is no difference between the tow tunes i'll be able to change one of the tunes.
I know there's an adjustment in shift strategy (waste of time for us), but don't really know more than that. Don't worry about already having placed the order. He can change it easy enough if you decide on something different.
What clutch are you running? Hopefully it's not a stock one.
