1993 Ranger Blinker switch
Has anyone changed the blinker switch in the steering column? Blinkers will not work, 4-way flashers work. Not sure what else it could be. Please advise. Thanks for the help.

if the light on the dash comes on but doesn't blink, check the fuse panel flasher (used to be 2 but I don't know any more), and ALL the fuses.
If the dash light flashes, but nothing outside works, you have a fuse problem (or two) or a shorted light bulb.
On my diesel, I also would need to check the tow package turn relays, to see if they click.
that is a start, I'm not qualified after 1990 anymorer, the stuff is way too smart for me.

i changed the multi-function switch in the taurus, pretty much the same thing as in the ranger. it turns out though i really had a issue with the fuse block not having power in the right areas, had to put in a jumper to make it work, as a result the key has to be on for the 4-way blinkers to work. i had several electrical issues, and they werent common to the same fuse. it was a real hair-puller!
