Lift question

ok so I am looking to lift my 01, 6" suspension. All of the manufactures noffer this kit as it is common. However I have a manual transmission. I didnt thinng that woudl have mattered but all the kits say Auto only. The only manufacture that states manual or auto is Skyjacker and it is like $600 more then the other manufactures...Any idea why it matters what tranny I have and anny suggestions on a lift would be great...
