first time with EFI

I have a 5.8 351w stock want to make a few mods. think of a cam plus exhaust need to know if I can put a cam in a EFI with out messing with the computer thanks

Yep, just have to make sure it's an EFI friendly grind. What year is your motor?

still learning

I believe its a 1992 I haven't put it yet! I'm pulling it today. will the year matter.

Yes, it determines if you need a roller or flat tappet cam. Roller didn't start until '94 in the 5.8, that's the F4TE block casting number.
