SAVED..................got me a 460
I went to a local salvage yard to meet up with a guy on a set of tires and ended up getting a 1970 460 out of a Lincoln......COMPLETE with all brackets it has DOVE-C heads......I picl it up on Tuesday!!
WHOOOOOOOOO.......next trip is to the engine shop then my 79 F250 will have some REAL POWER!!
not looking to go huge on power numbers 450hp be tops I'm thinking.......
gonna lift it and slap some 35's on it!!!

got the engine today and ran the numbers turns out its a 71 not a 70.............any way to tell if its a 460 or 429 W/O pulling the oil pan??????
numbers are D1VE 8015 AA got these where the starter would be

don't know if it matters but its got a 4bbl stock
I'd like to find out what it is for sure before I start ordering stuff for it!!!
leaning to a 514 stroker or a stock(ish) bottom end and .040 on the pistons and a cam
IF its a 429 not sure what way I'll go

D1VE Block and D0VE-C heads. Pretty sure that is a 460 you got.
