So I just dropped my girlfriend off at her house and was on my way back messing around in the snow drifts on the back roads. I got half way home when she called me and said her sister went in the ditch with her dads truck. I was like ok hell ya I get to pull out a dodge and rag on him now. He gives me **** for driving a ford. But I get there it was worse than I thought. I was like there is no way in hell. She was driving a 2006 dodge cummins 4 door. The snow was up to the running board in the front. The ditch had a good 12-14" of snow in it. I was like I will try cant promise anything. Gave it 5 tugs and she was out. It was a pretty steep ditch on the side of the road. I was suprised how easy my truck with crappy tires pulled a heavy cummins out of a ditch with all that snow. Wish I had pictures but it was dark and she wasnt to happy so I figured I wouldnt **** her off.
I wouldn't worry about if the gf's sister is mad at you...wait until you **** off your sis-in-law...that's always fun and dramatic
pics would have been alot better. you ever seen the extraction video of a 04 F-150 lifted on 37's yanking a Chevie out of the pond that a Dodge couldn't yank?
Ya Im wishing I did take pics. But you know how big them trucks are and it was facing the same direction as the road. I had my stock Goodyear wranglers on. Which even suprised me. Next time there will be pictures. O and I never seen that video till now and its bad ***.
That sounds sweet man. Awesome. Hey its a Ford. Get ir done. These newer 150s are amazing what they can do. I bet hes not giving you crap anymore. Haha
last week i seen a new dodge crew cab dually stuck on the mountain in the middle of the road hauling a large car trailer...i would have taken the joy in helping him i was in my work car
Last week on my way to work I came across a young girl and a young guy, I guess it was her brother. They had driven their saturn well into a ditch.
I stopped and asked if they need a pull, she is on her cell phone but says "I called my Dad" I say good does he have a truck, answer "No", I say how's he going to pull you out? answer "Duh" and stupid look, boy says please pull her out.
So I hook her up, and go back to the drivers door and say now listen (she still on the phone) I'm pulling you out now, don't do anything until you're on the road then stop.
So I gently pull her out, put the truck in park and get out, the car is still moving toward the opposite ditch. Boy is going crazy stop, stop, stop. She's now texting on the phone, but manages to concentrate enough to push on the brake pedal just before entering opposite ditch.
But now she's on the tow strap, so I motion to her to pull forward about four feet cause you're on the strap. She puts it in drive and gasses it. I have to jump out of the way of the tow strap coming tight, stops so hard lifts her back tires off the ground, she still texting, boy is screaming now, I disconnect the strap, throw it in the truck and drive away, god help us from this generation.
Funny you say that my girlfriends sister was like that. When I tried pulling her out she wasnt doing nothing im like im going to need a little help from you turn the wheel left and give it some gas well she was barely hitting it well finally I said screw it and just floored it and got it out. Well I told her to go forward just a little bit well she did the samething. Cause the strap was under her tire I said go forward like 4 feet. She went like 10 im like wow. Well she was on the phone trying to tell her uncle to go back home. I had to jump out of the way. Crazy people
I would have yanked that phone from her hand and given it such a good throw the deer would be using it in the spring. It was the texting that got her there......
