No one answered my last post, would someone please help? Where can I find a casting number on a 302 if it is not in the location by the starter?thanks

According to my interchange book there should be some numbers above the starter on the right hand side.But I went out to the garage and checked my spare and it`s on the left side by the last tranny bolt,they must have changed it after the 1 piece seal or something.

Actually I found it in the same place on a "86" 5.0 Drivers side.

mine were hard to see but there were right in front where the starter would go buy the top bolt about the area of a half doller the casting was kinda bad lot of sand in the # its an 86 3o2 hop you find the #
