hey guys im about to purchase a tow truck with a 460 motor can anyone give me any info on these motors are they anygood the good and the bad,thanks

They are good engines, can be thirsty at times but you'll be happy with it.

Keep your foot out of it and drive it easy. Keep it tuned up.

you bought it...burn it! lots of thump for your buck though...bigger the hole you got the more it takes to feed it; only suggestion I got is to check which ratio you got in the rear end-you got the 4.55 you can move houses with it! maybe move back down to the 4.11

Good advise, no matter how much you want to stomp it, dont!.........Just drive conservatively and you will be suprised at the mpg, expect 10- 12mpg and stay on top of the maint.

Even though I pay through the nose for the gas in my 460, I'm still happy with it. Not only is it a beast, its a reliable beast. It's worth the extra coin at the gas pump for that.
