First, I realize this is a diesel forum but I don't see a better place to start. Perhaps you guys can redirect me or provide some info.
I purchased an 81 Ford L800 dump truck. 429ci It's an old city truck that has been serviced regularly and runs good. I need to replace the voltage regulator, but I can't seem to find a part number that relates to the L series. The current regulator looks like a generic universal type. Where can I find L-series parts? Thanks for the help.
I would suggest an shop that repairs starters / alternators, especially one that is known to work on truck or heavy equipment parts. Also some heave truck suppliers can be a source for such parts. Good luck - sounds like you have a nice find !
