looking for numberdummy
Hi been around this forum for awhile now and noticed you are the man to talk to about ford truck parts, numbers, and where to locate them. Ok here goes I would like to add factory integral ac to my 1977 ford. would like to know if ford still has just the ac circiut wires orange, wire with connectors ,safety accessory relay that attaches to the firewall. someone told me that I just have to unplug the existing wires in the truck now. which has heat only and plug the 10 gauge orange wire and wires downstream to the coldbox on the firewall. was wondering if ford still carries this ac wire circiut only and at what dealer I could find it at. with the safety accesorry relay thanks for your assistance JOE

All of the parts are obsolete.
Some of the obsolete parts vendors may have them, but that would be about it for new parts.
If the A/C is indeed the factory Integral type, it also encompasses the heater.
There were two types of dealer installed A/C. one includes the heater, one does not.
How does the A/C operate? Are the A/C controls included with the heater control panel, or by separate switches?

The 1973/79 FORD LIGHT TRUCK PARTS CATALOG is available on a CD from hipoparts.com.
Since every part on the entire truck is illustrated, the catalog can also be used as an assembly/dis-assembly manual.
