Rear View Camera
Anybody look into a mod for the rearview camera in the mirror. Would like to hook it to an upfitter switch so I can turn it on and off while traveling. Not much for electrical system knowledge thought someone else here may have looked into this.

The camera is triggered by being put in Reverse so you just need to find that trigger wire and route it through your upfitter. That should be the same trigger for the reverse sensors and reverse lights so if you only want it to trigger the camera you will need to splice in to the power feed wire for the camera. If you plan for it to work with the trigger AND the upfitter then you will need to run a diode between the upfitter and the power/trigger wire. Sorry, I cant tell you the color wire to look for.
