Dash lights out
I have a 01 250sd and a couple of the dash lights are out in the instrument cluster i believe its the bulbs by the gas, temp and battery gauges. Anyone know how hard it is to replace them. i also have a light out on my passenger side air bag disable switch, and i know with that out it actually disables the whole air bag system in the truck. i was told i cant replace just the bulb on the airbag switch i would have to replace the whole box (witch i think is a BS that ford designed it that way) but anyway does anyone know a way around replacing the box with just a bulb

Do the bulbs illuminate when you turn the key to start it? I assume you have checked the fuses. I posted a while back about a test procedure that runs diagnostics for you by a series of steps turning your key and hitting your odo button. One of those tests illuminated all of the dash bulbs for easy validation.

My 02 Ranger had the lights go out progressivley across the panel.. It was the actual bulbs burning out, not a fuse or a relay or anything. I was under the 36k warranty, so I dropped it off and got it back in an hour, so the dash can't be that hard to pull apart.
