I had a hard shift condition in my truck at about 600 miles. Took it in and they said it was a bad TCM and output shaft sensor.
At the time they said that the one that they ordered didn't work so they took it off of a truck on the lot.
So I am thinking all is good. Took it in today for the 08B07 Cust svc reflash and guess what! They said I have the wrong TCM, truck won't take the re-flash and they were even amazed that the truck was still running.
Heck I thought it ran great. So there is a concern that there maybe trans damage.
Anyone ran into this? Do we think there maybe some damage?
Parts listed on the OASIS were:
8C3Z-7H103B- output shaft sensor
7C3Z-7Z369C- TCM
So truck is in the shop waiting on parts from Detroit and i am in Ford Focus.
It's probably an unexpected calibration their software will not overwrite. I doubt it can do much harm, but have them run a magnet through the trans fluid just in case.
