I am looking at repacking the bearings on my 1989 XLT 5.0, and have read pretty much ALL of the articles here on how to do it! I don't understand when it is said to torque 50 ft./lbs (for example), then "back off 45 degrees". What does "back off" mean?
Much appreciated....
Chad
BTW --- could a moderator please allow me to create a signature? I have tried, but the website tells me "not authorized to create a signature", or something along those lines. Thank you!!
Hahaha...Yep, that's quite an average I have there. Thing is, I don't even remember why I joined this board way back in 2001. I have never owned a truck or 4x4 before my current Bronco..I did have a few Lincoln cars, though. Hmm, anyway, I'll hit that 25-50 posts this weekend without a doubt!
