i have a 05 f-150 with the 4.6l. i got a check eng light and it was kinda hard to start and cranks long before statting. after startting it runs good and starts fine untill it sits for a little while. i changed the plugs reset the computer. light came back on got the p0308 code changed the #8 coil reset the computer again..the light came back on again got the p0308 and p0300 codes thinking it might be something fuel i changed the fuel filter and and put a good fuel system cleaner in.. still hard to start i was on my way to get a fuel injector for #8, on the way the light came on again now im getting p0300, p0308, and p0306. im getting a little lost on this one and could use some help please...

I was plagued with the P0308 code and a P0316 code for a long time. I am not sure if the codes you are receiving from your engine are the same dynastic info for my 04 5.4 3v, but if it is the P0308 is a misfire in #8 cylinder. If you swapped out the cop and still receive the P0308 then you’re still getting a misfire in #8, I would be concerned about the injector. The P0300 seems to point towards fuel delivery and since the injector is not that hard to change that would be my next step. The injectors are known to plug up: I believe that the 4.6 are the Romeo engines which I also believe have some issues with injector… You wrench heads can chime in any time here!!!
