no start

2004 f-350 6.0 anyone know the location of the ground wire from the firewall to where it is located the engine?Mine was hanging from the firewall, engine side was loose. Is this the reason for my truck not starting?I tryed bolting the wire onto alternater bolt, no start. When i turn ignition on everything powers up ,try to start ,all i hear is clicking from starter.I toke starter off ,tested manually solenoid kicked out the drive and starter spun, reinstalled starter click is all I hear no crank ,tryed a cable from - side of battery to engine block no difference ,replaced batterys ,no difference I'm STUMPED ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS???

Dead battery maybe? voltmeter them with the truck key off. your weakest battery is how strong the whole system is no matter how many more volts the other one has. if that isn't it i'll check PTS (professional Technician Society) website for symtom charts, and pinpoint tests for you. -6.0L Ford Tech
