Removing Trim

Hello, new member, but have been reading for some time. I decided to take off both the rubber side trim and the pin stripe from my truck with little luck. I tried a heat gun to loosen up the rubber and slowly peel off with a plastic scraper.. then a thinner to break up the goo left over. It took me about an hour for a quarter panel and one door.. Is there an easier way? any attachments for a power drill to buff the goo off? etc. Thanks

I would use Goof Off to remove the residue, it's amazing.

I've removed trim pieces before with a very thick piece of fishing line, but never on an f-series so I can't give you a guarantee on that, I think the ford trucks have better glue...

Goof off is good for that but there's a down side, it will in spots take off the paint with it. unless your planning to get it repainted be extra careful or find a better way

Heat and plastic razor blades. Do be careful if you aren't planning on a repaint.
