where do i start!!!
I just purchased a 1978 Ford Ranger 4x4. Got it for $1200. Its got a 6 or 8 lift on it and currently only has 32" tires. Its got a 460 engine and it runs great, I little cold in the morning but usually fires right up. The guy I bought it from said he put a 2wd 3 speed transmission in and put in a transfer case. When the gears change the truck bumps kind of hard. I want to fix this truck up and get everything working and running good. Where do I need to start and also can anyone explain the transmission bump? Also with a 6 or 8 inch suspension lift, what size tires can I put on the truck that will not hit? Does anyone have any tricks or tips for this type of truck. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
