I have a 92 7.3 and Its hard starting when the truck is cold. It cranks and cranks and cranks. When i get it started in runs pretty good. But when my foot is on the gas the fuel guage drops drastically and when i take it off it goes back to normal. So for what i have been reading on here it sounds like i have air getting into the system. The truck has a new fuel filter and new gp's. Where do i start looking for air getting in? thanks again guys.
If it had air in the system, it should start, and then die. The fuel will stay at the injector, but leak back behind the injection pump if it was getting air. So it will run for a few seconds, and then crank and crank.
