Window Regulator
Figured out that I need to replace the drivers side window regulator on an 01 in the near future when the weather breaks. I see that there is a TSB for another issue, so will look at that when getting into it.After pricing the regulator I purchased a Motorcraft one from a dealer as it was basically the same price.So I open up the box and the spring is attached with a large plastic strap, but is not installed. My question is, what is the best way to install and wind the spring and how do you determine how much to wind it up?I have never pulled a regulator out before. Does the spring apply load to close, or open the window?Thanks
