Chain locker repair

Can anyone recommend a good way to repair the chain lockers on my 63 LWB? They're rusty; one of them has almost rusted through enough to not be usable, and the other side has the hinge rusted together so badly that the door has been bent at the bottom trying to open it.

Can I replace the hinge on that side, and how do I attach a plate to the other?
I think they're kind of cool and want to retain them in usable condition.

If you are speaking of those bins on the rear of the bed sides, those are not factory.

You'll have to fabricate something to work.

Thanks; good to know! I thought it was an 'option' of sorts.

I guess I get to have some fun w/ sheet metal and a torch!

Tat was somebodys modification...doesnt look half bad from a distance...but its definately nothing Ford ever created.
