Not sure if any help, came across this youtube clip on owner's 67 project, it's just a glimps of his mid frame fuel tank installation. If you freeze the clip at between 209-211 min's you can see how he routed the E brake assembly but appears he installed tank mid frame sideways. It appears the Ebrake 67-72 is different than 64-66, and the later may be more suited to your application, and would seem it could be modified to fit.
