Ive got a 2006 f250 and was wondering if leaving the stock exaust and getting rid of the cat or stock muffler would have any benifical gain other than sound. Do you think the muffler is more restrictive than the cat or vis versa or does it not make a difference since the stock downpipe is still in place.

your CAT is the most restrictive part, removing it will majorly unchoke the system...
and you sure will get more turbo nois, and maybe a little nois in the cab.
and yes its good for your truck , but not good for EPA and tree huggers.
you might pick up some MPG...
they dont like it for sure, they dont like any mods period. but again it depends on the dealer...
look on ebay for cat delete pipe. than for warranty work just bolt it back up.
