ZF5 swap

I am looking at buying a 95 with a 351 and a swapped in zf5. What does the swap entail? I just want to know what to look for to make sure it was done right. What changes have to be made for the computer? Thanks for the help.

I was curious to this fact also. Love to ditch the E40d for a 5 spd. I suppose the speedo would be simple, but not sure what else is hooked to the automatic that would be "left unhooked" and cause check engine light?

Just bought truck, so haven't had the time to poke around underneath to see what's there. Still in single digits around here.

It was an automatic, so should be the E40d correct? My thoughts were the exact same as Freightrains.

I have just done this to my 88 f-350 2wd. but I replaced a c-6, because I don't like automatics. I had a parts truck that I got everything out of but the driveshaft. I had to change the clutch/brake pedals, steering column, floor pan for 5-speed(orcut hole in current one),clutch master cyl. & slave cyl. the crossmember and trans mount both worked from c-6, bolted right up. have to get a longer driveshaft because the zf is about 10 inches shorter than the c-6, so I haven't got to try it out yet. so far it looks like it was factory, cant tell there was ever a c-6 in there!!
