I have been wanting to add the upfitter switches for a while now and was wondering if the Ford Factory brake controller could be added too? I don't care about the ABS being hooked up but would like the look and functionality of the factory controller. Can this be done? Thanks!

From what i have read you can not install the brake controller in a pre-05 truck. From what i understand it ties in to the trucks computer and brake pressure sensors that are not installed or options on a pre-05 truck. If you have an 05 and later i believe you have to change the master cylinder (for a brake pressure sensor) and have the computer programed.
vlietracer64 is correct and the short answer is no it can not be installed on a pre-'05 truck because the earlier PCM, ABS module and instrument cluster are not compatable with the system. I am sure if you had a unlimited budget and the knowledge to retrofit a newer PCM, ABS module and IC it "may" beable to be done.
Does the factory controller only work off of the pressure from the master? If so, I can see the problems we are faced with. I just thought the controller would mount in and hook up and I would leave off the capabilities for abs and such. It would just be alot nicer to have that controller there than the one under the dash.

No, the master cylinder is only part of the system and you need all parts for it to function. Even the '05-up trucks that do not have it factory installed require the IC be reprogrammed at the dealer once added on. If not the rest of the system will not know it is there and it will not function.
