Finally got the truck back from the mechanics yesterday after him putting in a Suncoast rebuild kit on the truck. Only bad thing is now I have to baby it for awhile before I can go back to having some fun.
I was really impressed with the kit. Got it so tight on shifting(clearance is round .45) that it just grabs it like there is no tomorrow. Although I didn't much care about their customer service after there was an order screw-up. I didn't really care whose fault it was, I just wanted a resolution, but it didn't happen til a week and a half later and it only took the tech a total of 1 day worth of work to get it all done when you take out all the waiting we had to do. All that waiting over a damn billet input shaft. Only other thing I wasn't fond of is that the way that this kit is made is that you are now able to use a lesser quality trans fluid and I just don't think in this case giving people options with regard to tranny fluid is the best thing.
All in all, I'm very happy with the kit and now just have to wait awhile before I can go back to having some fun.
I've been real happy with my tranny since I had it rebuilt, I've got some kind of shift kit in it that makes for nice firm shifts but not overly firm to the point of being nasty. Also went with a heavier torque converter. It feels so good still to be driving my truck after 2 weeks of borrowing my moms car.

The only difference between your situation and mine is that I had to just borrow my mom's for a week and a half. A lot of people got a kick out of that.
That is pretty funny, o/t but what does your mom drive? My mom has a 1997 Chev Lumina, it was the car I drove from 17 to 18, brought back a few memories, most not that great haha.

SC 430. I nice car, but definately not me and it really only got me from point A to point B and that's about it. Trunk could only fit one bag of shavings(which I require most times atleast 16) or 4 bags of feed(which that isn't so bad) at a time. I got alot of joshing over driving that thing that's for sure.
