I know for sure the way up is a rush, we leave Saturday morning and there is a birthday party that night, depends what day we come back, will either be the next Saturday or Sunday and depending which one, it will be a rush back too.

you took the slow routes in Ontario. Most highways are 100km/hr here

The limit may be 90, but the traffic (what little there is in northern Ontario) flows at 110-130.

Taisa, I think he's talking about Highways 11 & 17 up in the sticks.

The worst roads in MB are Highway 10, south of the Pas, and between Cranberry Portage & Flin Flon. Highway 6 through the Interlake was pretty good, almost no traffic up there, did 135 most of the way between Thompson and Winnipeg.

Yep, several times. I love the scenery on Hwy 17 (southern trans Canada) between Thunder Bay & the Sault. Also taken the northern transCan (Hwy 11), scenery is ok, but it's a much flatter & easier drive than 17.

Is that a pretty good highway? Does it suck in the winter time? Lots of hills etc.?

Lots of hills, but spectacular scenery. In the winter it closes a lot because of snow blowing in off the lake.

Drive certainly wouldn't be bad if I was taking a few days to do it across Ontario. when you are tryin to get across Ontario as quick as possible it seems to take forever! Leaving in 7 1/2 hours for the Flon though, stopping at the toys r us in Saskatoon, checked on the internet says it is right off Idylwyld Dr. South, anybody able to confirm this?
