Removing alarm

I assume my truck came with keyless entry/remotes standard. An aftermarket alarm was added that I want to disconnect for two reasons. 1st- something is killing the keyless remote batteries. 2nd- Aftermarket alarms ARE more trouble than they are worth. I have not had a car/truck that I did not remove the alarm. I really don't care for alarms...if you couldn't tell.

That being said, I do not have a wiring diagram. Does anyone know which color wires were used to install the alarm so that I may uninstall it?

Thanks

sTw

You need to know the make and model of the alarm. There are a few people here that are installers.

I kinda figured they all had to go thru the ignition switch(wire)...I dont know. Ill look for "the box" and list any markings here.

The alarm box is a Auto Mate Model : 1. There are two fuses associated with it. Any one familiar with this model and no how to disconnect it?
