Angry Electric Shift Motor
Where is the Electric Shift Motor located on my 2001 Ford F150 4X4 Off Road Truck.......... I am trying to replace the part and according to the Manual it appears to be towards the back of the truck near thr rear seal but I have looked all under the truck and cant find it. Which leads to another question I was told it is easy to replace Is IT??

Welcome to FTE Nightranger! I am no expert on this as I have never owned a 4x4 model F-150, but I would expect it to be associated with the front axle, not the rear axle. Good luck!

Electric shift motor is mounted to the T-case. What book are you looking in thats says it's near the rear seal?

Chiltons is the book I am looking at, its not a very good picture. Where in the Transfer case is it located, front?? Back??? Side??

Center.Follow the rear driveshaft forward from the read axle and you will find it where the driveshaft ends.
