Tire Size ?

I have a 2008 F250 FX4 Crew Cab. It's stock with a 6.8 V10 and an automatic tranny. My question is what is the biggest tires I can use without lifting my truck? It came with 275/70R18 tires but was thinkng about going with 15 inch rims with either 33/12.5R15 or 35/12.5R15

15" wheels would not fit on your truck. 17" is as small as you can get from the factory and when it comes to aftermarket 17" wheels, some fit, some do not. It all comes down to clearing the brake calipers...

You could put 35X12.50R18, 305/70R18 or 285/75R18 on your stock 18" wheels with no problem though...

wow, wasn't thinking about the brake calipers. so u think that 35X12.5R18 or possibly going with an aftermarket 17" rim would work without rubbing??
also, do u think i could go with an 8" wide rim?

There are a number of members here running 35X12.50R18 with no rubbing or just a hint of rubbing on the radius arm. This will vary depending on tire manufacturer. We even have one member with a '08 F-350 who just put 37X13.50R20 on his factory wheels and he only has a leveling kit.

A 8" wide rim would be no issue. Factory 18" and 20" wheels are 8" wide...
