I have major exhaust leaks at the manifolds, I want headers but not a lot of cash. I don't really care about performance I just want to get rid of annoying leaks so any suggestions would be great. 88 F-350 460 efi.
i bought pacesetters a couple years ago for my 302 and i'm not way happy. i bought them because my manifolds had cracked in half. like str8 said you have to tighten them all the time and mine didnt really match up to my y pipe that well.
I got Hedman shortys but i did not inspect them before installing them thay work great but there is a tiny factory wield thats leaks. Thay also bolted up great to the y pipe no probs.
Its good to here about those pacesetters i was thinking of those in the future.
For your 460 Get long tubes you will half to do some costom exhaust work but it would be worth it.
Does it have donut gaskets at the flanges? If you want cheap and dont care about power gains I would try to fix what ya got, might be $20 in parts and if the bolts will come loose (insert PB Blaster add here) and not have the PITA of headers
