F150 Tailgate
Does anyone know how much weight can be carried on the tailgate? I would like to transport my snomobile( approx. 580 lbs.) on a regular basis
and use one of the many folding ramps. The sled will hang over the tailgate by one and half feet.
Will the stock cables nad hinges handle this added
weight?

I don't know if you have ever lifted a Gm tailgate or a dodge tailgate, but theirs is a lot lighter than Fords. I would honestly think that the tailgate can handle 500lbs. But your concern should be the straps that hold the tailgate down. I would be cautious of them!
