I know that this goes against the grain for the most part, but I'd like to tone down my exhaust a little.
I have stock manifolds to twin V-Force mufflers that exit in back of the rear wheels.
The trouble is that it is a little too loud for my liking.
Suggestions for toning down some?
1973 F250 3/4 ton Custom
390 .060 over w/428 inside (422?)
Edelbrock Performer intake
Holley 4160 carb
14" K&N Filter
True Dual Exhaust
and more to come.
to tone it down is really easy get a different muffler, they have all kinds flowmaster makes plenty some im sure would quiet it down, also you can get tail pipes with resonators in them that quiets it a bit.
Well, the best thing is you could get some flowmaster 70 series muffs. The are for exactly what you described: Toning down a big engine. They're on the expensive side though, at just over 100 bucks each. But if your going to do it, do it right the first time right?
