My son just got a 93 f-250 7.3 liter non turbo truck and I've been doing a lot of work on it. I have it running good now after rebuilding the alternator, replacing the batteries, new injector return lines and t fittings.
Anyway, It's been a while since I worked at Ford and I can't remember this one. When we start it, the glow plug controller clicks on and off after the initial warm up cycle for about 1o seconds. Is that normal? All the glow plugs test good and it starts fine but It's annoying with that thing clicking like that.
I'm about to go start rebuilding the E40D in it next for him but I want to make sure I have everything under the hood right first.
Thanks.
