61 292 yblock
Im getting ready to get a 61 unibody with 292 y block but I will need a tranny for it. It did have a 3sp but I want to put a 4 or a 5 sp on it. So i guess i need to know what bellhousing and driveshaft length as well as what kind of tranny. Any other info on what to use would be greatly appreciated!

My 64' came with a 292 and a 4speed originally. It's a T-98 (granny low) -I'm not sure if he package works in a 61' however.

Without an adapter your choices are the 3spd, Granny low 4spd, and Cruise O matic.
