I just bought a pyro gauge off of flea bay, it got here and it reads 1200 degrees already and I haven't even plugged it in.
Is that a problem? Is it going to reset to read the correct temperature when I do install it?
also, on the back there are wires for the light, which I understand, and there are the terminals for the thermocouple, and at the bottom there are long red and black wires that don't seem to be in the directions. What do they do?

Gauge will set to 0 once you power it up.
Red wire goes to a key on power source. White wire goes to a dimmer power source and the blacks go to ground.
i got a autometer and when off it reads like 200 then goes up when the engine starts.. for what its worth it has to be cold for my egt gauge to start at 0 and go up...
