Anyways sorry for intruding im a cleveland know iot all, I had some busines with a 360 latly, anyways the 390 has a longer stroke, you are using a truck so thats what you should be thinking of, a longer stroke with better cr will give you more power where you want it and better milliage, which means i would transform that 360 to a 390.... anyways the longer stroke to make bigger CID the more hp but the bigger gains would be in torque but the bigger bore will only help on Hp and rpm range seeng the piston will travel faster with less friction...

So it's looking like I'll find a 390 crank and rods to put with my 360 pistons and that'll do it.

Since I'll be getting a crank, is there a better way to do it? If I'm buying a crank, I'd rather buy a 428 one or something if that would be better.

So, is there some other magic combo of like a 428 crank and rods and the 360 pistons or something?

Thanks for the help.

Matt if I were you Barring getting the aftermarket 4.25" Scat Crank I'd go with a 3.98" Stroke Crank found in both the 410 and the 428Cid cause that'd give you a 410Cid or if you went 30 over a 414-415Cid

Thanks. What pistons and rods would I use in such a setup?
Also, what does the 4.25'' stroke crank that you mentioned cost?

It's about $1,389.00 and thats a complete rotating assembly not just the crank. Thats Rods,Crank,Pistons,Bearings, and Wrist Pins...just rechecked...this is from the add " This is the best price ever on a FE stroker kit ..this auction is for a 462 cubic inch ford fe stroker kit , crank rods and pistons with file fit rings and bearings .. the crank is a Scat 4.250 stroke cast steel crank , Scat 6.7 I beam rods (h beam upgrade for 100.00$)and a set of Ross racing pistons FLAT TOP in a 4.160 bore size..MI residents add 6 % , for internal balance add 250.00 " I did ask him and he said he could substitude smaller bore pistons since the 352 Block casting isn't up to the 4.160" bore in that particular kit....He said that with the 360/390 block bored .040 over it'd be give you an end displacement of 447-448Cid I asked him specifically about the .040 Overbore with .030 it'd be Approximately a 445Cid..........and the price I gave was the buy it now price by the way

If you're thinking about a stroker kit, Check out "Survival Motorsports". Barry R. has a good deal on these and he has the crank "gone over" to make sure it's RIGHT and it's balanced. PLUS Barry's customer service is 2nd to none!!!

It's not worth it. Ditch the 360 for a 390. With a 390 the possibilities for HP and Torque are endless and cheap too!
