dash paint= no no. Ends up fading, cracking, generally looking like crap in a year or so.

Dont they make a vinyl/plastic dye type product that you can use to make things black?

I have seen a black dash piece with a tan interior on the 05+ trucks some but I think the seats would set off way to much in the truck.

What about a black and tan two tone??? I've ran the idea through my head a couple of times. Some of the Eddie Bauer Excursions have that.

SEM makes stuff to 1) prep the plastice & open up the pores and 2) make it the color you want. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

What he said. I have yet to see someone pull this off where it lasts. Now of course we do have painted pillar gauge pods that seem to hold up.

As for the dash, and black, I predict problems.

Seems like if you do a two-tone black and tan that it would blend in better with the interior. I have Wet Okole seat covers and they are black with tan inserts. I have a tan interior and it seems to work well.

Just a thought........

And regular leather seats are bad enough, have you ever got into a hot truck where the black leather seats have been facing the sun? ouch.
