Hey guys im picking up another 300 since my old 1 hit the ground, however my new 1 is auto and i want to swap my manual into the new 1, is it worth the work, the new 1 is a 94 160,000/km mint, 2700$ what yall think
Ford $2700 I really hope you are getting the rest of the truck and not just the engine. You can't, as far as I know, drill the crank in the automatic 300 for a pilot bearing while it's still in the engine. If you have all that money that you are willing to spend and all you want is a fresh engine, $2700 would sure let you rebuild your original manual 300 a lot better than stock. I would just rebuild it. My 2 cents.

I think he's talking about trucks...It looks like 2700 for the new 94 truck which he wants to put his manual tranny into.
Probably not too bad a price but check the Kelly Blue Book on it first just for kicks. And keep in mind that the KBB doesn't always reflect what the actual market is. It seems to run a bit low on some vehicles compared to the sticker price.
Seems about right for a 94 in mint condition. Only thing I don't like about it is the automatic, but hey, like you said, you have a manual to swap in it. It's not like you'd have to do it, just maybe if the auto fails.
yeah thanks for the input its 4x4 as well, this guy is being stubbern he wants 2750 now and wont answer my e-mails so i threw a hardball, offerd my sled (that i dont have) and he replied right away asking for pics, very strange
