Do I have a problem??

I replaced the HPOP pump and the IPR valve on my 05 F-350 and the truck runs again......I replaced the oil and filter and also cleaned the EGR valve... I do not know if this is a problem or not but I have only driven the truck for less than a mile, when i try to start the truck it takes 5 to 6 seconds of crank to start. Before the pump and IPR went bad it took less than 2.5 seconds....The oil gauge does not start to move until about 5 seconds of crank then the truck starts.....This happens only when I let it set for a bit. If i start it and turn it off...then try to start it right back up......... it fires up in less than 2.5 seconds of crank....Have I not let it run long enough.....could it be air in the system......did I not restart it right or is it even a problem....looking for Ideas......It seems to me like the oil pump has to reprime itself after I let it set ??? Thanks for any advice, Randy

If you are using an aftermarket oil filter it is possible that the filter is draining out when the engine is turned off. This might delay a buildup in oil pressure.
