Do I have a problem??
I replaced the HPOP pump and the IPR valve on my 05 F-350 and the truck runs again......I replaced the oil and filter and also cleaned the EGR valve... I do not know if this is a problem or not but I have only driven the truck for less than a mile, when i try to start the truck it takes 5 to 6 seconds of crank to start. Before the pump and IPR went bad it took less than 2.5 seconds....The oil gauge does not start to move until about 5 seconds of crank then the truck starts.....This happens only when I let it set for a bit. If i start it and turn it off...then try to start it right back up......... it fires up in less than 2.5 seconds of crank....Have I not let it run long enough.....could it be air in the system......did I not restart it right or is it even a problem....looking for Ideas......It seems to me like the oil pump has to reprime itself after I let it set ???
