I have come to the realization that I don't really like my stock mirrors very much. They are the chrome plastic non-power "aero" mirrors, if that's what you want to call them.
Our truck at work is an F800 and it has west coast mirrors on it, and I really like them. You can see all kinds of stuff behind you and they are at eye level, which I like.
Only problem I've run into is that most west coast mirrors stick out way too far for me to want to have them on my truck. I did find some made by Grote that are adjustable from 15-23", so if I had them adjusted all the way in they would only stick out a couple inches more than the factory mirrors. They look pretty cool too.
Yeah I know I'd have to drill holes in my door, but this isn't a pristine truck anyway. Just not sure whether or not they'd look goofy on my truck.
I've got a set on a 84 F?00 dump truck. It has the same doors as the 80-86's and they look good. So I agree that they will probably look good on your truck especially with your stacks you already have
I have a set on my 76 parts truck, PM me if your interested in them. At least I think these are what are called Westcoast mirrors, that where I'm located HA HA
I've used a couple styles of the mirrors on that page (probably not the exact product) They looked good and were actually useful. Very little vibration. The fourth down with a 3" spot does a good job.
